Why I Create?

Gentle and curious are two attributes that have always been in my nature. Growing up I didn’t understand why people didn’t feel as deeply as I did, or why I needed so much time to process the events of everyday life. I wasn’t the funny one, didn’t misbehave, wasn’t the smartest in class, and sports never called to me. I didn’t really know where I fit.

Art became the place I could finally exhale— a way to explore and express inner worlds — to understand what I couldn’t put into words.

After many years of suppressing this need to create for fear it wasn’t a viable path, I found myself wondering who I really was. Trial after trial, I was gently guided by the Holy Spirit and led back to the truth of myself.

Now, I paint to reveal the hidden worth in what was once cast aside or misunderstood—to honor uniqueness as a gift and inspire a return to what really matters: God does not make mistakes. He redeems, restores, and crowns you with glory.
