To get started fill out the form on the Contact page. Please provide some detail and I’ll reach out to go over the essentials via email or video call.
All commissions begin at $1.50 per square inch. Once we’ve finalized the details, I’ll send over a commission agreement outlining what we’ve planned. A 50% deposit will be required to begin. This deposit is non-refundable.
Timeframe can be anywhere from 1 - 4 months depending on your place in line, the size, and complexity of the piece. You will receive 3 images at different stages to confirm the composition, imagery, colors, etc. A high quality photo will be sent for final approval, and the remaining balance is due before your painting is shipped.

We offer free shipping on orders up to 36 × 48 inches in size within the United States. Processing times vary by product, and shipping estimates will be provided via email to any customers purchasing paintings over 36 × 48 in or who reside outside the U.S.
Please allow 2-3 business days for processing. Most orders arrive within 3 - 7 business days, but may take longer during holidays. Shipping times depend on the carrier.
If your order hasn’t arrived within 10 days of receiving your shipping confirmation, please contact us at support@kristylausten.com with your name and order number.
International Shipping
We are happy to ship internationally with custom shipping quotes. If you are outside the U.S. please contact us with your location and the artwork you’re interested in. We will provide a shipping rate and reserve the piece for 48 hours. Please note: the shipping applied at checkout is just a placeholder. Final costs will be invoiced separately.
Import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customer. If these fees are not paid, the shipment will be returned, and a refund will be issued minus shipping costs.
Oil Paintings and Drying Time
Oil paintings require curing and varnishing before shipping. If your selected artwork was recently completed, please allow 2-4 weeks for processing and shipping. If this is required for your piece or if more time is needed than what is listed above, we will contact you with an updated timeline.
Packaging and Safe Delivery
We take great care to ensure your artwork arrives safely. Original paintings and stretched canvas prints up to 36 × 48” are wrapped with premium, acid-free materials and protective padding. Includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
Artworks larger than 36 × 48” will be shipped with a custom freight for added security. Please Note: the shipping applied at checkout is just a placeholder. Final costs will be invoiced separately.
Unstretched Canvas and some larger paper Paintings will be shipped rolled and in a protective tube.

Original art carries a lot of meaning. If you’re not satisfied with your painting, you can return it within 3 days for a refund minus a 20% restocking fee to cover handling and transaction costs.
The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaged securely to prevent damage.
If the painting is returned damaged, the refund will be forfeited.
The buyer is responsible for all shipping, packaging, and return costs.
To begin a return, please contact me within 3 days of delivery, and I’ll walk you through the process.

We take great care to package your item safely. In the event your artwork arrives damaged, please contact us at support@kristylausten.com within 48 hours, including photos of the damage. I will do everything I can to resolve the issue.
